Making Money Online, Is It True?

Can you really make money online? The answer is a resounding “Yes!”

First, though, you need to understand how this game really works. The right mindset is crucial to your success.

You’ve probably come across numerous business opportunities already. After all, since you signed up for this course, I know you’re actively searching for information. I hope you haven’t become jaded already by the con artists out there who make false promises of over-night riches.
The fact is you can profit significantly and, yes, even quickly once you learn the right way to do business online. So, approach this course with an open mind. It will fill in the pieces for you which, up until now, have been missing.

What E-Commerce is really all about

There’s nothing magic about the Internet. It’s really just another medium of communication. The difference between doing business online versus doing business in a brick and mortar establishment is this:

1. Your potential customer base spans across the globe if you so desire. You aren’t limited by your location.
2. Your business operates 24/7. You can still make sales even when the workday ends.
3. Your overhead is significantly lower than it would be in a traditional business, and the barriers to entry are lower as well.
4. You can create non-traditional businesses which have no parallel in the offline world.

As an online entrepreneur, you also enjoy a wider range of options in terms of the type and number of products you sell, their method of delivery and your profit margin after expenses.

Sounds great, right? It truly is an ideal situation for the small, home based business owner; but don’t quit your job just yet.

An online business requires just as much focus and dedication to get off the ground as any other business, so forget about working at home in your underwear right off the bat.

The first thing you need to do is investigate your options. What type of business can you start online? Which businesses are the easiest to set up?

Once you answer these questions, you’ll need to learn how to implement your ideas online. How do you drive customers to your site? How do you convince them to buy?

If you already possess some business knowledge and common sense, you’re off to a great start. The real challenge comes when you start translating this knowledge to match the rules of online commerce. The game is played a bit differently on the internet.

Technology makes possible so many new twists on customer acquisition and product delivery. Newcomers often have difficulty sorting out the differences between business models versus business strategies.

In other words, a lot the hyped products you’ve seen in the past had more to do with tuning up existing businesses than they did with creating businesses – but, they’re sold to you as instant money makers, even though there’s no real business model behind them.

Don’t worry if you don’t understand this just yet. We’re going to tackle all of these issues and more over the next few blogs. So stay tuned till then!

Blog Traffic Overload!

Blogging, as in my previous article at http://www.stellarmarketingsecrets.com/blog, has become an important activity in the online world today. Whether for personal or commercial use, more and more people each day are drawn into weblogs. While blogs are more likely to be crawled by the search engine spiders, they are every bit as delicate as normal websites; we still need to take steps to generate traffic to them.

Here are some ways by which you can use to promote your blog with:

1. Write High Quality Content. I know that this might seem normal and common-sense but most people don’t do this! Your readers are people to and they have a certain level of interest. If you do not fulfill this minimum level, they will likely lose interest and not read the blog.

Use basic copywriting principles to write your blog – treat it like an editorial and not a report. It’d be great if you could write your posts conversational, pithy and topical.

Update your blogs with fresh content so that readers and search engine spiders visit your blog more often.

2. Submitting Your Blog And RSS Feeds To Directories. If you publish a blog, you should submit your blog and RSS feeds to big directories such as DMOZ and Yahoo to gain exposure.

RSS Feed are the hot commodity on the web right now. RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication” and is a technology that allows websites to syndicate or distribute their content among other sites.

If you’re totally new to RSS, I recommend you visit the following sites to brush up on your knowledge; they will teach you the basic a-to-z of RSS feeds.

There are plenty other resources out there. Do spend some time surfing your favorite sites and see if they have any syndication available.

3. Gear Your Posts Towards SEO. Just as you apply SEO techniques to your websites, apply them to your blogs as well. You can:

>>>Increase the keyword density of your post.
>>>Ensure that your blog url contains your niche keywords
>>>Place primary keywords within your blog titles

Personally, I’m not an SEO expert myself as it’s a whole teaching by itself. However, there are many sites out there on SEO methods and one I recommend is www.seotoday.com.

4. Ping Your Blogs After Publishing Them. This is a simple step you can do to get search engine spiders to crawl your blog after you have a new post. Basically what happens is you notify the big directories that you have a new post to be crawled. You can easily do this at www.pingomatic.com.

5. Build Links To Your Blogs. This is a very powerful step that will take some doing. What you need is reciprocal links or one-step links connecting to your blog. It’d be best if your links connected to pages with high page-rank. Then when search engine spiders crawl the other sites, they will spillover to yours, thus raising your own page-rank.

I’d advise you to take precautions on this step and not look for the easy way out by using those automatic blog link generators. While they are not necessarily scams, Google looks out for these automated programs so as to prevent ‘cheating’. Once the Google algorithms determine how to block these programs, they don’t work and Google might even penalize or ban your site.

These tips should give you what you need to flood your blogs with traffic today.

(Here's an interesting article on free stuff, my favourite! Lol.)

Finding Freebies and Free Resources Online

The internet is evolving and changing all the time, and the free resources, free samples and other freebies which are available on the web are likewise changing constantly. As a matter of fact, the only constant in life is change, and the internet is merely a reflection of real life. In addition to the ever-evolving world wide web, Freebies also change over time because of other factors, such as economic reasons. For example, before the bursting of the technology bubble earlier in the decade, there were a lot of extra freebies being offered by dot com startups.

These various internet startups had an abundance of spending money that was largely funded by Wall Street, despite unrealistic profit expectations. So these cash rich dot com companies threw money at website visitors in the hope that they would eventually be return visitors and possibly customers as well. This money took the form of excessive freebies including free internet access from AOL (who didn't see their CD-Roms lying around Post offices and other places) and even high speed internet access by Netzero as well as a plethera of free downloads of almost every conceivable kind. It really got ridiculous because it got to the point where many regular internet users expected everything for free and were unwilling to pay for anything, knowing they could eventually find a site offering a one time freebie or perhaps a one-time sample if they surfed and searched the web long enouph. Or you could often find a site that allowed you to download pay software for free, at least for a time. But ultimately not enouph of these tire kickers and freebies fanatics came back or ordered to make it all profitable and one by one these freebies disintegrated as it was realized that the vast majority of the people filling out these forms just wanted the proverbial free lunch.

A few profitable ones remain to this day, such as the famous jelly bean free samples. But most faded away over time, especially as the dot com bubble burst wide open as it came to be realized in Wall Street and beyond that many of these dot coms were never going to be profitable. So following that rouph and tumble crash a few companies survived and thrived, such as Amazon, Ebay and America Online. Of course, there are still a variety of free samples, free coupons and other types of freebies available online, just not in the same numbers as in the pre-crash era. It is still relatively easy to find websites that will send you free samples of candy, pet food, beauty products and various household freebies such as toothpaste and shampoo.

In addition, free hosting sites still exist, and you can find sites which offer webmaster freebies like screensavers, fonts, clipart & various graphics, multimedia freebies, travel coupons, software downloads and the like. Although fewer overall freestuff is available, in a strange way it is easier to find the freebies that exist than ever before. A lot of this is due to the improved relavency of the big search engines. When you type in free anything these days to a major search engine they are getting smarter and giving you what you are looking for.

(Folks, here is a short and simple article I found about SEO tactics. It may be concise, but I promise to put up powerful content from one of the top SEO experts I know soon!)

"Secrets" of Search Engine Optimization Revealed - All You Need to Know to Gain Ranking on Google

Search Engine Marketing has become a science. Many people out there use its powers to manipulate and mislead others. I will share with you the three key things to achieve success in the ranking.

First of all, you have to make sure you design a well versed and error free website. Second of all, create a system to build link to your website from popular related websites. And finally, write a lot of unique content for your website and believe me there are a gazillion places to submit what you have to say.

That is it, if there were ever a secret, well today, congratulations you are the proud recipient of it. LOL. Oh, make sure you post a link with your keyword in the text link back to your website. Try to use different keywords and search terms per article. Please do not spam the article a bunch of links because all you need is a good written article and one link to your website. Believe me, people will link to you and visit your website, plus as an added bonus, your site will gain popularity. I find it effective by having the link back to my main page.

I will leave you with 15 strategies to keep close to you when you are optimizing your website:

  1. You must choose a domain name with keywords in the URL.
  2. The title of your page must include your keywords.
  3. Your Headings must include your keywords.
  4. You must embed keywords in the body of your page, more effective in the beginning of the page.
  5. Keep keywords and search terms close to each other.
  6. Must include Meta tags such as Description and Keyword tags.
  7. Make sure you include Alt Tags in your images.
  8. Make sure you include keywords on your Comment tags.
  9. Keywords in the Title of your links.
  10. Make sure you use Keywords in your text links.
  11. Very important to get other sites to link to yours.
  12. Makes sure the site linking to you are popular on the web.
  13. Make sure you write articles for it is a great way to obtain non-reciprocal link to your website.
  14. Use the same theme throughout your website and maybe target one or two keywords per page.
  15. Last but not least, please there are no secrets to this SEO game, please read as much as you can because the market is always changing. The more knowledge you possess the better your success. There are plenty of information on the web by experts sharing their thoughts and knowledge from past experience. Eh, if you are nice, some will even help you. Don't be afraid to ask.

Well, folks, that is it for today. Do not let SEO companies tell you that they have a quick fix and can put you on top of the search engine in 24 hours. The only way they can do it is if you are already there and they are taking advantage of your lack of knowledge. SEO is a time consuming, hard work of content and link building. Even with all that work, it will take at least 6 months to a year to really start seeing the results and believe me, it is well worth it. A well optimized website will make you lots of Moolah. ciao

My name is Patrick Jacotin and I have been a search engine specialist since 1997, I have taking the time to learn my craft and I am a work still in progress learning something new everyday. If you are looking for a great place to find non-reciprocal links try link exchange

5 Simple SEO Tactics

This is not exactly new but anyone of you out there have the chance to win in the Search Engine Game even if you don't understand head to tail of HTML, XML and metatags.

There's a very simple rule you can follow and it is: Just give the search engines what they are looking for!

Personally, I'm not an SEO (SearchEngineOptimization) expert myself, but I can and will share with you a few basic rules that have helped me achieve phenomenal results. Here are a few sites where you can obtain more specific information on SEO content:

http://www.selfpromotion.com: shows you how toconstruct your webpages and submit them to hundredsof search engines and directories absolutely FREE.

http://www.searchenginewatch.com: everything youneed to know related to search engines.

For software to facilitate your website positioning, this one's the best:

Remember the rule I mentioned above; that you've gotta give the search engines what they want. Yea, what they want is basically keyword-rich content and back links.

Tactic #1: Find Hot Keywords

You should gather all relevant keywords to your niche and compile them into a list. Hot keywords can be found using toolssuch as http://www.goodkeywords.com : an excellent software to find targeted keywords in Overture and various other engines.

You can in fact connect straight to Overture itself via http://inventory.overture.com. Overture may not cover all the search engines, but it covers enough to give you a good idea what people are looking for.

Tactic #2: Register Domain Names That Are Rich In Keywords

I strongly believe that should your domain name be similar to the searched keywords, the search engines are likely to pick you up. You can search for and register domains at http://www.godaddy.com and http://www.registerfly.com. For example, if you were in the rent-a-car niche, you might want a domain that goes by www.mycheapcarfinder.com.

Tactic #3: Post Keyword-Rich Content

Search engine spiders will almost definitely crawl the content of a website before indexing it. Start building your site with relevant content containing the most-searched-for keywords. You can find articles can be your own or can be found on article directories such as http://www.ezinearticles.com.

Tactic #4: Fill Your Copy With Targeted Keywords

Some people might just miss this important point out; but remember what you did in tactic #1? Yep, fill your web copy with the list of keywords you have, especially in the headline, title and body. The important thing to do is to try and ‘mix’ the keywords well within the content so that the copy flows smoothly.

Tactic #5: Obtain Targeted Back-Links

This is one of the more effective ways of SEO. What happens is that the search engine spiders will crawl a site and if they find any backlinks, they’ll go through it and crawl on the other side. As a result, the more backlinks you have, the better your site will be indexed. You can see how high your page is indexed via Google’s toobar here. The best thing is if you have a site with page rank 6 or higher back-linking into yours. This will dramatically and positively affect your own page rank.

These 5 tips should be enough to give your site a boost in SEO tactics. Basically all you need to do is to give the search engines relevant content and links to index your site and it won’t be long before your page rockets to the top!

To your success!

Have You Secured Your Financial Future?

What would you do if the world came crashing down on you? If the 2nd Great Depression was around the corner? If the boss suddenly sent out the order to retrench 2000 senior managers (and you were one of them)?

Friend, if you’re the least bit worried, you need to take action now to secure your financial future. They say, only 2 things are for sure in life – death and taxes. Nothing else is a definite and that includes financial security.

However, probability is a numbers game. That meaning you can tweak the numbers to your favour; no absolute guarantees though.

Most people try to invest their money in stocks, bonds, unit trusts, property, etc. While these have a long-running tradition in the world of men (relatively), the world has taken leaps and bounds into the information era yet only a handful have begun sowing seeds of wealth in the online market.

The Internet is and may be the largest market we’ll ever know, thanks to the never-ending region of cyberspace. This means unlimited room for growth and thus potential. A number of advantages Internet finance has over real-world businesses are as below:

· No need of a physical workplace. The only rent one has to pay online is the domain and hosting fees; assuming you don’t go for a free site. Even so, such fees for a single site will almost never reach the $100 mark per month. Besides that, due to the existence of cyberspace, a vast number of customers can be in your website at a single time if compared to a physical store which can only hold so many people.

· Lack of borders. Globalization means that anyone from anywhere can reach your website store; whether from the deep reaches of the Amazon or the scorching deserts of Egypt. Assuming they have Internet connection of course (that is a whopping 1 billion online users out of a world population of 6.5 billion *source: http://www.internetworldstats.com/stats.htm*) Talk about a deep market folks.

· Lack of competition. Yes, does that surprise you? I won’t argue that the internet marketing niche or those of health and finance (sex even) are quite saturated. But then again, those are very general keywords and if you were to dig deeper, who knows what you may find? Specific niches or markets are known to be blue oceans or even competitor-less.

· Perfect information. Well, sort of. You can Google up your competitors or market leaders and see what they are up to, any new marketing ploys at work or their latest pricing strategies. And it’s even legit! This allows you to climb up the ranks of the industry without any prior knowledge even. Besides that, the availability of information also allows customers to find you, if you have done your SEO homework first.

The Internet opens up more possibilities than we may ever imagine. It’s time to grab hold of your life, secure financial security and achieve financial freedom through the biggest and best resource available to us.
